The Competitiveness and Economic Development research group at the University of Deusto is seeking postdoctoral candidates to join the Faculty of Deusto Business School.

Researcher profile

• Phd in Economics (completed)
• Strong background in Macroeconomics and Econometrics
• Potential to publish in high-impact journals
• Advanced level of English
• Advanced knowledge of Econometrics software (especially Stata)

Objectives of the position

• Participate in an ongoing project on the meta-analysis of nonlinear intergenerational income mobility
• Participate in soon to start research projects on the productivity and spillover effects of public capital
• Produce high-quality research papers to be published in high-impact journals

Other valuable aspects

• Knowledge of meta-analysis techniques
• Programming skills (in Matlab or R) 

We offer

• Duration. Contracts granted under this call will be full time and will have a duration of 1 year (extension to a second year is negotiable). 
• Amount and terms of payment. An allocation of 31,486 to 40,482 gross euros per year will be granted, distributed into 15 monthly installments, depending on the candidate’s experience.
• Location. Bilbao
• Expected date of incorporation: 2023/01/01
• Terms. The contract with the University of Deusto will fall under the “associate researcher” category.
